Health & Workplace Safety Policy

CARION Aviation Services is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, subcontractors and visitors, in full compliance with applicable occupational risk prevention legislation and airside safety regulations at every airport where we operate.

1. Policy Statement

This policy applies to all operations carried out by CARION across all serviced aircraft types, airports and FBO locations, in full compliance with Spanish occupational risk prevention legislation (Ley 31/1995) and applicable airside safety regulations of each operating airport.

2. Management Commitment

Provide and maintain safe systems of work, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to each service.

Ensure all personnel receive adequate training before performing any task, including hazardous products and high-risk activities.

Identify, assess and control occupational risks through a documented risk assessment process, reviewed periodically.

Investigate all incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain a designated Prevention Service (PRL) in accordance with Spanish law.

Allocate the resources needed to continuously improve health and safety performance.

3. Key Risk Areas Covered

Chemical product handling Mandatory PPE, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) consultation prior to use, dedicated training.
Working at height Mandatory harness and helmet on elevating platforms; height-work permit where required by the airport.
Airside / ramp operations High-visibility clothing mandatory at all times; strict adherence to airport ground movement rules.
Manual handling Ergonomic equipment provided for prolonged or repetitive tasks.
Confined space / aircraft interior Ventilation verification before and during use of fogging/ozone equipment; gas detector required.

4. Incident Reporting & Review

All incidents, accidents and near-misses are recorded in CARION's incident register and reviewed by the Operations Director. Corrective and preventive actions are documented and tracked to closure. This policy is reviewed at least annually, or immediately following any significant incident or change in regulation.
