Environmental & Sustainability Policy
Environmental & Sustainability Policy
CARION Aviation Services is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of its aircraft cleaning, detailing and ground service operations, and to complying with all applicable environmental regulations at every airport and FBO where it operates.
1. Commitments
Use biodegradable and aviation-certified cleaning products wherever technically feasible, without compromising surface compatibility (AMS / Airbus AIMS / Boeing BSS-D6).
Collect and properly manage wastewater generated during exterior aircraft washing, in accordance with each airport's environmental regulations.
Verify pH levels of collected wastewater prior to disposal at authorized discharge points.
Minimize water consumption through controlled-flow equipment and low-pressure washing systems.
Properly segregate and dispose of chemical waste through authorized waste management channels.
Train all operational personnel on correct environmental handling procedures.
2. Wastewater Management Procedure
For exterior aircraft cleaning operations, CARION deploys a wastewater collection system to capture runoff containing detergents, grease and fuel residues. Collected water is measured for pH and transported to an authorized disposal point in compliance with local airport environmental requirements.
3. Chemical Product Management
- All products used are accompanied by a current Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- Products are stored in a dedicated, ventilated area separated from other materials.
- Empty containers and chemical waste are disposed of through authorized waste handlers.
4. Continuous Improvement
CARION reviews this policy annually and seeks opportunities to reduce environmental impact, including evaluation of electric or hybrid service vehicles, reduced-impact product alternatives, and energy-efficient equipment as the business scales.
